Metyo

Terms

Last updated 23 October 2026

Metyo tells you what the weather means for the places you care about. Its forecasts are our best estimate, not a promise, and official warnings come from the weather services that issue them. Use Metyo alongside them, not instead of them. By using Metyo, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Metyo is made by Nnachi Onuwa, in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Questions about these terms go to hello@metyo.app.

Forecasts and alerts

Your account

You can use Metyo without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, keep that account secure: whoever can sign in to it can see and change your places. You can sign out or delete your account any time in Settings. What we keep and why is in our privacy policy.

Using Metyo fairly

Please don't:

We may stop someone from using Metyo if they do.

Data from others

Metyo uses weather from national weather services, maps from OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap, and place search from Mapbox. Each is used under its own licence, listed in the app under Settings › Data sources.

Changes to Metyo

We keep improving Metyo, so features may change, and areas we cover may be added or, rarely, removed. We may stop offering Metyo; if we do, we'll say so in the app first.

Our responsibility

We work hard to make Metyo right and keep it running, but we provide it as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from relying on a forecast or alert, or from Metyo being unavailable. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date. Big changes will also be mentioned in the app. Using Metyo after a change means you accept the new terms.
